Our editorial mission
Active Years exists to make trustworthy health and mobility information easier to understand and use. We focus on the ordinary decisions that shape an active life: how to keep moving, build strength, manage setbacks, prepare for activities and know when to ask for professional help.
Our readers are capable adults, not problems to be fixed. We avoid fear-based language, miracle cures and one-size-fits-all routines. Instead, we explain trade-offs, use plain English and offer realistic starting points.
Our editorial standards
- Useful before impressive: every article should answer a real question or support a sensible next step.
- Careful with evidence: we distinguish established guidance from emerging ideas and avoid overstating certainty.
- Independent in tone: advertising does not determine our editorial conclusions.
- Clear about limits: general education cannot account for your full health history, symptoms or circumstances.
- Current and correctable: we date substantial updates and welcome corrections.
